Bangladesh has been experiencing three burdens of malnutrition: undernutrition (stunting, wasting, and underweight), micronutrient deficiency and obesity (resulting in NCDs). Bangladesh developed a Nutrition Policy in 2015 which targets the immediate and underlying causes of malnutrition through nutrition-specific and sensitive interventions as well as taking robust action on the basic causes of malnutrition by strengthening the multi-sectoral approaches for policy implementation. This study explores how Bangladesh National Nutrition Policy-2015 is tackling the present malnutrition in the country with broad nutrition-specific and sensitive interventions.
